My Advising Style

I absolutely love what I do. To me, there is nothing more interesting, exciting, or fulfilling than helping people make great decisions with money.

When working with clients, my team and I go beyond just professional investment management. Everything starts with you. Your goals. Your concerns. Your needs. We take your information and build a plan that is as unique as you are. We then implement our recommendations in a way that is consistent with your best interests.

We use the latest technology along with a personal touch to help you along the way. As a client, you have access to a personal financial website that keeps you organized and informed at all times. You always have access to a human being who knows who you are and is familiar with your specific situation. We meet together regularly either in my office, over the phone, or virtually–always your choice.

Career History

After graduating Magna Cum Laude from UNC-Wilmington in 2001, I spent the first 3 years of my career in media consulting. After completing a 6 month trek through Central America, I came back and helped operate the family homebuilding business at the end of 2005 (great timing, I know).

I eventually pursued my dream of being a financial advisor, joining Wachovia Securities in 2008 (again, perfect timing, I know). In 2009, we became Wells Fargo Advisors after Wachovia was purchased.

In 2013, I became an independent financial advisor. I now have more control over my practice and more freedom to do what is right for my clients.

Personal Info

I live in Wilmington with my beautiful wife, Brooke, and our two well-behaved small children, Fletcher and Allie. I attend Port City Community Church and have been a regular volunteer there since 1999. In my (extremely limited) spare time, I enjoy surfing, stand-up paddle boarding, and the occasional 5k.

My Process

My job is to help you make great decisions.  To do that, I follow a simple, yet powerful process that will help you enjoy today while preparing for the future.

01 Engage

First things first, we need to talk! Let’s see if we’re a good fit to work together. We’ll help you get all of your financial information organized and accessible. You can go through our simple (dare I say, fun?) online experience or bring a shoebox full of statements to our office. Either way, my team and I will get your financial life in order and ready for the next step.

02 Advise

I’ll listen carefully to understand your expectations and concerns, then design a plan, unique to you, that will help you achieve financial success. Together we will implement my recommendations in a way that is transparent, easy to understand, and always in your best interest.

03 Enjoy!

You will have access to a personal financial website where your entire financial life stays organized and updated daily. You will have access to a human being who knows who you are, understands your specific situation, and responds quickly to your needs. We will meet together regularly in my office, over the phone, or virtually–always your choice.

At the end of the day, we do work that you either don’t know how to do, don’t have time to do, or simply don’t want to do. Let us worry about your investments and finances while you spend more time doing what you enjoy.

Let’s talk!
